Make beautiful wax melts using natural palm wax. These Christmas melts make the perfect hand made Christmas presents.
Gather all your supplies. Lay wax paper down and place the molds on the wax paper.
Set the pour pot on the kitchen scale and zero it out.
Pour 8oz of wax into the pour pot.
Set the pour pot with wax and candy thermometer into a cooking pot filled with about 1" of water on the stove. Set the stove on medium-low
When the palm wax has reached 210 degrees, set the pour pot on the kitchen scale and zero it out. Stir in the fragrance oil and dye. Set the pour pot back into the pot of hot water and when the wax warms back up to 200 degrees F. you are ready to pour into the molds.
Make sure excess water is wiped off the bottom of the pour pot so you don't get water into you wax while pouring. Carefully pour the palm wax into your molds. You may have some left over. You can save it for later and just remelt it once you have some empty molds and pour some more.
Once all the molds are filled, let sit for about an hour before popping them out of the molds.
Once the wax is cooled, gently pop the wax melts out of the molds and they are ready to use! Set them out for decoration, wrap them for presents, or start melting them in your wax warmer!
